When Walls talk is a projected type installation that aimed to restore purpose to the currently closed student union by actualizing the new digital forum of Pratt Secret Facebook page through quotes visible throughout campus. Without having a dedicated gathering space, students have turned to the virtual world of Facebook to organize and communicate; this transition is most noticeable with the growth of unauthorized group Facebook pages, where under the promise of anonymity and in the safety of the digital zone, students feel free to express themselves openly. By projecting the quotes onto the student union, these comments are actualized into physical space, adding new emphasis. The quotes become talking points of interest for others walking by, sparking new dialogue in real space. It is interesting also how comments deemed acceptable online feel taboo in actual space.
